The ARTS at Marks Garage presents: "The Body Farm"-One Body, Two Artists, Two Visions.

A collection of works by Kris Goto and Eric West that explores how two artists translate the human form into paintings. Each artist is asked to interpret a given body part in their own style. Inspiration comes to different people in different ways. The Body Farm is not about the anatomy of the Human species, but the way we translate our inspiration into art, commonly or abstract from others. Within this body of works a deeper understanding of how two different artists see, feel, create, and are influenced by their inspiration is revealed. The results turn into a whimsical look into the body… In one set, Goto turns Lungs into coral being explored by fish, while West turns lungs into a multicolored geometric maze reminiscent of aboriginal artwork.

The Body Farm is on display from through February 28, 2015..

First Friday, February 6th, 2015, from 6-10pm. There will be an artist talk for The Body Farm Exhibit at 730pm. Beauty and The Beard will be performing musical sets at 7pm, 8pm & 9pm. The BAR at Marks will be open
