FREE CONCERT - Alternative HI bands together in concert to celebrate "The Pride of the Pacific", Hawaii Theater's 90th anniversary(Open all night to the public).



Hawaii Theatre Center, Mountain Apple Company in conjunction with `Aumakua Records and Bran Apeles present one of this year's hottest shows of Alternative Rock for Free on September 7, First Friday at the Hawaii Theatre.

Get there early for an amazing line up of Na Hoku nominated rock artists Sing the Body, The Intire Project and Sabrina, as well as Mike Love, Johnny Helm, Erika Elona, Mano Kane and Kelli Heath-Cruz with special guest appearances from Na Hoku winner for Hip Hop album of the year, Navid Najafi, Shawn Livingston Moseley and Hanalei Bishop. Host for the evening is Star 101.9's Kevin Jones.

Doors will open at 6:30 and music starts at 7pm sharp.

Sing the Body is THE hottest live band in recently winning Hawaii's Hard Rock Café's Battle of the Band. They recently opened for the Shins and Airborne Toxic Event to rave reviews on Oahu and Maui.

The Intire Project has opened for Justin Nozuka and is almost finished with their first full length album.

Sabrina, a Hawaii favorite is flying home from Portland to sing for her legions of fans.

Mike Love has toured extensively though out as a solo artist as well as with Paula Fuga

Johnny Helm has also opened for national acts such as M. Ward & Greg Allman

Erika Elona has opened for Matt Costa and Meiko and is working on the finishing touches of her debut album.

Mano Kane is THE hardest working band in Chinatown with members that have recorded on Grammy winning albums.

Kelli Heath-Cruz, formerly with the Girlas has played in Jack Johnson's Kokua Festival and engineered many Hoku winning albums.
