DOWNSTAIRS IN THE CHINATOWN COURTYARD, a Secret Beer Garden will be open as a benefit for The ARTS at Marks.   Sit and relax after viewing the “art on the brick” where SERGIO GARZON will show his own watercolors as well as organize a group of emerging artists to show their work.  Included in those guest artists will beEMILY TAKAHASHI with her photography and Japanese wood cuts as well as KALINDI KALEIDOSCOPE with T-shirt designs and original paintings.  TIEN AUSTIN will show delicate pen and ink drawings next to JAMAICA DE LUNA with more small watercolors.  DOVER AND RAVEN ABRAMS will return to the Courtyard from the Big Island with their jewelry and paintings.

UPSTAIRS IN THE ARTIST LOFTS:
The Lofts will be open upstairs for visitors seeking an art experience as well.  RUTH SORENSON in 209 will show her Big Sky paintings, Kris Goto will have her exquisite pen & inks in the #203 Mini-Gallery. CHEYNE GALLARDE of Firebird Photo will have a new gallery show in Loft #202.

ERIC WEST, otherwise known as the Professor, will be having a Disco themed event "Disco Dreams" with acrobatic performances by Pamela Poles and Night Flyer Circus in his Loft #205 from 7:00pm with performances starting around 8:00pm. It is an all age event with free entry although donations are appreciated.

Singer- songwriter JAMES MCCARTHY  from Loft 206 invites us to  discover the new HiSAM sculpture garden, explore the “Body of Work” exhibit, and stay for his rollicking tunes on First Friday.

New tenant, GUILHERME ALVES will be showing his Loft 207 and explaining The DeRose Method which is lifestyle coaching for high performance and quality of life.  It is a combination of concepts and techniques originating from ancient cultural traditions with a final goal of self-awareness.

Fresh from a successful National Dance Week, ARTSmith will be hosting a private party and will not be open to the public on First Friday.

Entry into the venue is either from Maunakea Street or through the Beer Garden at the Smith Street Gate.   Although it may look like a private party, this One Night Stand is always open to the public.
