Black Cat Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery will be presenting the first ever displayed arts of Daniel Morris.
The Painted Ladies Collection was an idea he toyed around with in Columbus Ohio, observing the subtlety of the human form and how it could easily get lost in intracate designs. His early works were visual statements on the oversaturation of materialism, making his figures look like they were actually painted with name brand symbols. Adding a touch of photorealism and using the model's native flag for a background, Daniel began a collection of contemporary works, mainly focusing on form and the illusion of form. His canvasses trick the mind, toying with techniques that appear three dimensional and at the same time, hide in flat, solid color background.
Also on display will be paintings,drawings and realistic pastel creations from the tattoo artist of Black Cat Studio.
Tattoo artist Richie Lucero,Josh Crowell,Robb Drew and Micah Perry will be performing live tattooing from 1pm to midnight.If you are interested in getting a permanent peice of art on First Friday please email or call for an appoint.
