The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is one of the most important festivities in China.


For First Friday October 2, 2009 please bring canned food to give to the Hawai‘i Meals on Wheels. Non-perishable items such as canned goods, especially canned meats, tuna or other protein sources, are especially needed.

Monetary donations provide the greatest return.

Drop off donations Non-perishable items on First Friday October 2, and Saturday October 3, 2009 at participating Galleries.

Follow the Lung Kong Physical Culture Club under the full moon.

Its performance brings good luck to those who participate.

According to tradition, the Lion Dance performance dispels evil and malevolence. It also exhibits awe-inspiring feats of strength, agility and daring.
