world, we oFFer you First Friday August 7th. The Kirtan Ceremony is led by Ryan,
of the long hair and blessed tabla playing fingers. Erin McCullough is the
special guest curator, she presents a group of artists entitled 'BreaKING OUT'.
Experiments in dance arrive in the form of MIDSuMMer Nights Dream interpreted by
DAKINI BeLLydance. Rock n groove by Breathe of Fire. Trance of the tribe is
pyscadelic Quadraphonix, with star soloist Taimane Gardner on the uKE. THe
eventing is hosted and wiLL include a set by the one and only Bridget GraY.
Sending us into epic movement DJ AZIA oNe arrives. ....expect drums and words,
visions and dance, creation and iLLusion....

charity!!

provides beach access and therapeutic ocean activities such as surfing,
swimming, snorkeling and shoreline flotation to kids and adults with
disabilities. MUSIC: Breathe of Fire: These brothers can not stop evolving their
music. Once known as the Bucks Boys with a distinct reggae style. Now they come
through with a faster beat, smokin' rock and dance groove. Oh yes! Kirtan
Ceremony: Ryan brings unique sacred sounds of India. Tabla playing and chanting
ensue. QUADrOPHonIX: We got a smokin’ new bass PLayer in KEVin, SHree
Saragopan is the maestro of the looping gitar/Sitar, ELI Clemens on the congas
and chANT, and JONATHAN HerAUX is the da da da DRUMMAH! they are joined by....

DANCE: Dakini Dance Company: Rocked ong KIng with
a RobotiC BeLLydance number that just was amazing. Dakini is Honolulu's first
experimental bellydance troupe. Combining Tribal Fusion and American Tribal
Style bellydance with an avant-garde edge, Dakini Dance Company adds a
theatrical sensibility to crisp technique and electrifying performances. The
troupe currently consists of Beth Biller, Jessica Rose, and Sarah Sonnett.
Dakini Dance Company members teach classes on Wednesday evenings at Manoa Dance
Studio! SPECIAL GUEST HOST & SLAM POETRY: Bridget Gray is the fearless poet
who's resume spans a rich horizon of SLAM, Stage, Film and TV. Her passion for
authentic performance, and creative evolution is manifest in her stage presence,
her words and moves. Artistic forces fused as soon as Ms. Gray entered onG kiNG.
This will be the first time she hosts First Friday, we are thRiLLEd.
