We are having a great showing this first Friday along with live music from SheCan Devour and of course cocktails!

Black Cat Studio is presenting the group show "elevenses"Êthis will be the Hawaii debut for many of its artists, most of whom reside in other states (dotted on both coasts and in between). First-time curator Jen Callejo selected these artists for the studio, having admired their work for their adventurous use of color and surreal-ish whimsy. Though separated by distance, most have exhibited or collaborated with each other in the past and have developed on-going friendships which is evident in the cohesiveness of their styles.

The highlights among them include threadless.com and etsy.com, as well as having their work published in award-winning books and national and international periodicals.

As there are eleven artists, the exhibit title ‘elevenses’ plays on this and also stands for a meal which is had after breakfast but not quite brunch or lunch. It calls to mind a casual gathering and a bringing together of good things, which is what this is the featured artist names and links are below
