View The Cathedral Gallery Profile

During the month of August The Cathedral Gallery will be featuring the following three very different and very talented artists;

Bonnie McCann - Bonnie is a local artist who took her first photography class in 1985 and has been taking photos ever since. Since going digital in 2005 she has been capturing attention and awards in Hawaii and the online world. Recently, in The Artful Home 2008 Portfolio Competition, through a public online vote that pitted emerging artists against more established artists with many museum shows to their credit, Bonnie's "Lone Boat" a digital photograph was awarded The Grand Prize Winner.

Larak "Raki" Briscoe - Raki was born in Salt Lake City, UT, but grew up in The Philippines and Fairfax, VA. He started making pottery in 1994 when he was a sophomore in high school and continued taking classes at James Madison University. His company name is RakiRaku Pottery. Raku pottery is a method of firing taken from ancient Japan and China. It is the traditional medium used in The Japanese tea ceremony.

Lena Custom Jewelry - Lena semi precious stones, fresh water pearls, Venetian blown glass, Bali silver, and other artist-designed beads to create unusual and lovely necklaces and earrings.

Please join us for a wine and pupu reception beginning at 5pm on Friday, August 1st. Free parking is available at Century Square with gallery validation.
