2008 MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. HOLIDAY

HONOLULU: JANUARY 2, 2008 -- The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.ÊCoalition-Hawai`i reminds the community that time grows short should you want your organization represented as a group in the Monday, January 21, 2008, parade or to be a vendor at the post-paradeÊcelebration in Kapiolani Park. The parade application is online atÊ
www.mlk-hawaii.com/paradeltr.htm and the vendor’s application for the rally is at www.mlk-hawaii.com/vendorltr.htm Completed applications may be Faxed to Parade Chair Bill Rushing at @ 988-1777 (Oahu) orÊemail to rushingsr@juno.com Phone Bill with questions at 741-4038.

Celebrating our 20th year since Hawai`i legally established theÊholiday, our MLK Day parade is truly “the people's parade.” We have no staff, only a small group of volunteers working with little budget, and so our success is due to the combined volunteer supportÊof our local community and its rainbow of organizations.
