A medley of artists will be presented in the historic Mendonca Building's Courtyard for the December One Night Stand.

Garry Palm will again be at his easel creating an original watercolor in the Maunakea corridor this month. Perhaps you remember his classic 1995 GTE Hawaiian Telephone phonebook cover with over 20 varieties of his exquisite orchids. He will be bringing a representative selection of matted and framed prints as well as several originals, note cards and calendars suitable for Christmas giving.

Maurice Hutchinson will be returning to the Courtyard with Digital Fine Art derived from his pencil drawings and digitized sketches. Each work is a montage of colorful and textured puzzle-piece shapes arranged to let the eye explore and discover a variety of images to include animals, fish, birds, dragons and even faces--what is seen is limited only by the viewer's imagination.

From Maui, Chad Kruzic is new to the Courtyard but not to the world of wildlife photography. He will present a slide show of The Incredible Edible Journey: Hawaii's Humpback Whales feeding in Alaska. Humpback Whales portrayed in Alaska with snow capped mountains, glaciers, and herring fish gushing from the whale's mouths. Additional photographs by Pacific Volcano whose niche is documenting endangered species within the Pacific Rim Basin.

From Maui also as well as the North Shore Oahu Art community, Suzy Annick, returns with lots of new art work and handmade necklaces. She uses vibrant colors, deep hues, and natural mediums to create beautiful seascapes and dreamy abstracts that are inspired from her travels across the globe. She accentuates her paintings with sands and shells that she has collected from each of her destinations creating a surreal warm feeling.

Notecards made from Rudy Brilhante's personal collection of his landscapes will be available for sale. Selections from the collection will be displayed as well.

Originial art work is displayed and Box Dinners are provided for sale by Kate Wagner in the Starpoint Café.

Fred Gayagas will be back to share his wonderful old and new Hawaiian tunes and interact with the Courtyard visitors.

Enter into the Chinatown Courtyard on Smith Street through the Blue Dragon Gate (across the street from Little Village Restaurant). This event is free and open to the public.
