Exhibit honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month. James Anshutz will be displaying his Portraits Of Survival
Description/Comments
The historic Mendonca Building's Courtyard will be presenting for their October One Night Stand an exhibit honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month:

THINK PINK! For an evening of pink orchids, watercolor demonstration (pink hibiscus), music and amazing Survivor photographs on First Friday, October 5, from 5-9pm.

As you enter the Courtyard, Garry Palm will again be at his easel in the Smith Street corner. He will be working on a Pink Hibiscus watercolor that night to fit the theme of Breast Cancer Awareness. The original watercolor will be available that night, and if sold 10% of the purchase price will be donated to the breast cancer foundation. Come meet the artist and see his latest work!

As you continue around the walkway, James Anshutz will be displaying his Portraits Of Survival: A Breast Cancer Awareness Project. This extensive work shows “Expressions of strength, hope, and empowerment” through the art of photography.

Also included in the exhibit is a painting by a new artist, Ka'lena Cuevas, who will not be on site because she is away at DePauw University.

Fred Gayagas will be back to share his wonderful old and new Hawaiian tunes and interact with the visitors. During Fred's breaks, Ginny Walden (breast cancer survivor), will be playing solo Flamenco and Spanish guitar.

Enter into the Chinatown Courtyard on Smith Street through the Blue Dragon Gate (across the street from Little Village Restaurant). This event is free and open to the public.
