The June First Friday "One Night Stand" in the Chinatown Courtyard on Smith Street, will again
feature artists new to the Courtyard but not new to the Hawaii Art World.

Garry Palm, will be at his easel onsite in the Maunakea corridor of the Courtyard on First Friday. Before arriving in Hawaii in the 1980's, he became accomplished in oil and acrylics on the Mainland. Now, he also records familiar Hawaii landmarks, flowers, and nostalgic island girls in glowing, translucent watercolors. His "Palm Girls" are reminiscent of the lovely ladies of the war years. Originals and prints will be available to purchase.

Louise Alina of the Gallery Haiku in the Windward Mall will be presenting her own work in oil as well as works of other artists currently showing in her Gallery. Included in the group will be Louise, Susan Cardenias. Steven Springel, Sherry Pokipala, Estelle Nagano & Sukmui Lum. Their Gallery also offers art instruction in watercolor and oil.

"Luke Thompson and Friends", the multimedia artists from CR-8 Studios will be filling the remaining open areas with their unique work.

Come and watch Garry create in person, enjoy the work of Windward artists on the red brick, have refreshments and listen to wonderful old and new Hawaiian tunes, which will be provided by Fred Gayagas this month. Enter the Courtyard through the gate on Smith Street as marked by the Blue Dragon and his lanterns.
