Each monthly event in the hidden courtyard of the Mendonca Building combines exciting artistic works, Hawaiian and contemporary music and refreshments with a festive atmosphere. April's “One Night Stand” on Smith Street will feature three unique artists new to the Courtyard.

Pati O'Neal will be bringing a collection of two dimensional art pieces with mostly oil paintings, a few charcoal drawings and some mixed media pieces."

"Photographic Manipulation and Extemporaneous Portraiture" would be an intriguingly brief description of the work brought by Jay (James) Anshutz.

And, Steph Moelders will show a collection of 2 and 3-dimensional pieces combining the spiritual with the sensual and often influenced by Eastern philosophy. Whether the subject be the head of the Buddha, a nude figure, or a flower, the lines are clean and colors vibrant and the representations evocative.

Fred Gayagas will again provide the musical artistry in April. He interacts enthusiastically with the crowd as he shares his Hawaiian music and old favorites.

Kate Wagner will be showing her own art work this month as well as providing her culinary creations in the Starpoint Café. Also featured in the Courtyard will be homemade Hawaiian jams and jellies by Tina Young and various dinner menu items created to order from the Starpoint Café.
