International Women’s Month Art Exhibit


Exhibit: March 2 – March 30
Frist Friday – 5-9pm

In keeping with the mission of the Pacific Traditions Gallery at the Pacific Justice and Reconciliation Center of developing programs and projects which are directed toward supporting peacemakers in the Pacific and Asia, PJRC will present an exhibit by “Rashmi”

A woman of infinite talents, Rashmi Pierce is an artist. She is a figurative model, sculptor, painter, photographer, poet, a dancer, as well as singer. A well read “Bookseller” at Barnes & Nobles, Rashmi earned a Bachelor of Science in English Education from Ohio State University, with a major in Creative Writing and Theater.

Around the globe, March is the 98th year of the commemoration for International Women's Month. It marks a celebration of the economic, social, cultural, and political achievements for women.

"African Goddesses, Queens, Leaders, and Chiefs"

This beautiful visual and exciting oral “Herstory” is about the Wonderful Women Goddesses, Queens, Chiefs, and Leaders from Africa and the African Diaspora- United States, Caribbean and the World. This is thought-provoking and stimulating presentation takes us into worlds unknown except for their historic names.
