Description/Comments


MUSIC CONCERT: Quadraphonix returns to Ong King with some new tricks up their sleeves. They team up with dancers to create an original dance/music piece including a gamelan, and gongs. After words it’s a free for all dance groove. Quadraphonix includes sitar player Shree Sadagopan, drummer Jonathan Heroux, double bass player Susan Cropp, and percussionist Eli Clemens.

The Special guest Ukulele Virtuoso isÉÉa secret.

DJ Joulz corrals the evening with original beats and collaboration with live musicians.

DANCE: New group: As I Am is composed of members of Butoh dance group, Ginko Marischino.

Making her debut is SpiralFire (AKA Teresa Papadopoulos)Éwith a HULa-HOOP, musical creation.

THEaTRE: H.U.T.C. (Honolulu Underground Theatre Collective) returns with Willow Chang, and See performing a politically charged piece about the true cost of war.

SLAM POETRY: 3 Winners of local poetry slams are brought together to perform. This month includes Jeni Heath, whose poem was an amazing success at the Interscholastic Slam presented by Youth Speaks at Kaimuki High School.
