GALLERY (5pm-9pm)
On Friday, June 2, Ong King gallery/performance center will host a showcase of innovative performers and artists from Honolulu. The evening will begin at 5pm. with a free showing of artist See and his installation piece entitled “The Loop”. His work will consist of a breathing, living art piece incorporating various actors’ poets and set design. The art piece repeats every 30 minutes and will include the audience as they walk into the room.

PERFROMANCE (9pm-1AM)
Our showcase of performance art will begin at 9pm. with an Afro-Cuban drum/chant ensemble followed immediately by a kung-fu exhibition. Our featured musical act called The rydum kings will perform for the first time in Honolulu and feature some of Hawaii and New York’s best jam band musicians.

Culminating the evening of performances, (which has now become a First Friday tradition) will be a theater performance by the Honolulu Underground Theater Collective. H.U.T.C volume 5 will include some of Honolulu’s best slam poets.
