This is a special preview of art that will be available at the fundraiser benefit being held the night after First Friday -- An Evening of Art & Music, scheduled for Saturday, May 6th from 6 - 9pm, at the auction house of McClain Auctions located at One King Street (corner of King and Nuuanu Sts.), in downtown Honolulu.
This auction will feature donated art from many art galleries, artists, businesses, and community members.
ABOUT A NIGHT OF ART & MUSIC FUNDRAISER/AUCTION Gregory House Programs, Hawaii's statewide HIV/AIDS housing and support services agency, will host a new and exciting fundraiser -- Art Auction, on Saturday, May 6, 2006 from 6:00 pm ö 9:00 pm at the auction house of McClain Auctions located at One King Street (corner of King and Nuuanu Sts.), in downtown Honolulu. This auction will feature donated art from many art galleries, artists, and community members, including over 170 items from Robyn Buntin of Honolulu.
Art gallery owner Robyn Buntin of Robyn Buntin of Honolulu has made Gregory House Programs one of his featured and important social service agencies in Hawaii. Mr. Buntin has generously donated over 170 works of art from Japan, China, and Hawaii.
The evening event will include some live music, heavy pupus and beverages, with food prepared by Murphy's Bar & Grill of Downtown Honolulu. The auction part of the evening will include a silent and a fun and exciting live auction, by Auctioneer Mr. Marty McClain of McClain Auctions.
Event tickets are available by calling Gregory House Programs at 592-9022. The event ticket of $100 includes entry into the event, food, one drink ticket, and valet parking.
Gregory House Programs is a non-profit Hawaii corporation established in 1988 under the name Ho'omana'olana. Gregory House Programs mission and purpose is to provide rent subsidy, emergency assistance, temporary shelter, and supportive services to persons with HIV/AIDS throughout the state of Hawaii.
Through donations and private and public grants, Gregory House Programs is able to offer assistance through a myriad of programs serving individuals that are most vulnerable and in need. Housing is healthcare and prevention stated Jonathon Berliner, executive director of Gregory House Programs. "Without housing, it's difficult to have any form of stability in life and maintain any form of physical and emotional well-being when challenged with such a devastating disease as HIV and AIDS" stated Berliner.
Berliner went on to express how important this fundraiser is to Gregory House Programs.
