What do you get when you combine a a pinch of Louisiana Mardi Gras, a dash of Rio de Janeiro's Carnivale, the feathers and rhinestones of Las Vegas, a splash of cabaret, the tropical sparkle of Hawai`i, and a cast of fifty?
Hawaii’s annual Mardi Gras Follies extravaganza is coming to the Hawaii Theatre February 3-5, 2006. While the main attraction is the show-stopping showgirls with their lavish headdresses and “Carnivale” style costumes, a host of other talent acts will be sprinkled throughout the variety revue.
Showgirls, singers, dancers, comics and novelty acts take us "around-the-world" as we experience "Fabulous Places to See" with themes of Carnivale, The 1920s,Ê Asian Fantasy, Hawai`i, Cabaret, Argentina and it all ends up in a Red, White & Blue Patriotic Finale!
Sets by Wally White, lavish costumes by Bill Doherty, and all wrapped up in a neat package by director, Jack Cione.
Lots of Mardi Gras beads and baubles will be on sale!
